Novak* went to a hotel to buy some cigarettes.
The attendant refused to serve him, calling him ‘a faggot’.
Novak lodged a complaint of homosexual discrimination with ADNSW.
ADNSW contacted the licensee of the hotel.
Novak agreed to meet with. The licensee the matter was resolved when the licensee apologised on behalf of the attendant to Novak.
The licensee also agreed to implement a policy so that all refusals of service would be referred to him first.
